Revitalising Nottingham’s Former Police and Fire Station

Urban regeneration specialist Vita Group is bringing forward it’s plans for the transformation of a Nottingham city centre landmark. The Former Police and Central Fire Station will be comprehensively refurbished and modernised to create new student accommodation. On the same site, a new building will provide a publicly accessible foodhall and rooms for the city’s university students.

As well as providing much-needed high-quality student living space, the publicly accessible area around the buildings will be upgraded and new planting added.

The local community and visitors to the city centre will also benefit from an exciting new foodhall adding to the city’s already thriving food and drink scene.

In July, Vita held a public consultation to receive the community’s feedback on the proposals.

The consultation is now closed, and the team is considering all the comments before finalising and submitting a planning application later this year.
